Amylopectin-Assisted Fabrication of In Situ Carbon-Coated Na3V2(PO4)2F3 Nanosheets for Ultra-Fast Sodium Storage

Abstract: Na3V2(PO4)2F3 is one of the most studied polyanion type cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) and offers great promises. However, the inferior rate capability induced by its sluggish diffusion of electrons and ions greatly limits the practical application of electrode materials in SIBs. Herein, we develop an efficient method to fabricate in situ carbon-coated Na3V2(PO4)2F3 nanosheets by using cost-effective amylopectin. The amylopectin not only could induce the nucleation of Na3V2(PO4)2F3 along its… Show more

“…The carbon contents of the two samples are detected by thermogravimetry (TGA) as shown in Figure S2. There is about 0.82 wt % carbon content derived from citric acid and urea, retains in the p -NVPF after high-temperature calcination . While NVPF@3% CNT exhibits an extra carbon content of 3 wt % except for existing one as displayed in the TG curve of p -NVPF, which is almost the same as the input amount.…”

“…5 Generally, CVs are measured at low scan-rate ranges within 10 mV s −1 because a considerable capacity loss occurs at low C rates. 29,42,63 Based on the ultrahigh-rate capability of the RSW cathode, CVs were analyzed at largely expanded scan rates ( v ) from 0.1 to 400 mV s −1 . Notably, the anode and cathode CV waves remained symmetrical even at high scan rates up to 400 mV s −1 (Fig.…”
