Amplfication of λ = 9.6 and 10.6 μ radiation

Abstract: A local density approximation ( L D A ) calculation of the one-particle properties of beryllium including the effect of the electron-electron dynamical interaction. still within the LDA. is presented. The spectral weight function is calculated and compared with recent photoemission experiments. The enhancement of the electronic specific heat due to the electron-electron interaction is also calculated and is found to be in good agreement with existing experimental results.
