Amos (Software)

Abstract: This entry seeks to highlight some of the basics and functional characteristics of the Amos (Analysis of Moment Structures) statistical module. First, it explores the software's primary features and available tests for covariance structure models. Then, it elaborates on command program and other advanced features. Finally, it suggests further reading on the topic.

“…All the data were analyzed using XLSTAT 2019 [33], and IBM SPSS version 20 [34,35]. Firstly, the traits were tested for normality by Shapiro-Wilk's test, and standardized by subtracting the mean value and dividing by the standard deviation to meet the assumption of the normal distribution of residuals.…”

“…, p n were regression coefficients. The pathway diagram showing trait effects was constructed in Amos Software, IBM SPSS Amos 23 (http://www-03.ibm.com/spss-amos, accessed on 21 December 2020) [35]. Multicollinearity statistics of variables were done to detect variables with identical effects.…”

“…Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to test the structure of WHOQOL-Bref/Libras, according to Skevington [20]. The CFA was performed using the SPSS AMO Analysis of Moments Structures (IBM SPSS) program [21]. It was performed using the 26 items as observed variables of the model.…”

“…For data analysis, the following programs were used: R3.2.2 for calculation of effect sizes and their confidence intervals [23] with the packages effsize [24], orddom [25], and MBESS [26], and AMOS [21] for confirmatory factor analysis and SPSS [27] for the other analyses.…”

“…Hierarchical Genome Assembly Process (HGAP3) version 2.3.0 (3) from the SMRT Analysis software suite (PacBio) was used to assemble the PacBio reads with a minimum seed read length of 6 kb. All genomes were manually circularized using the Minimus pipeline (4) included in Amos (5), merging the overlapping extremities of the main contig. A single circular contig was produced for isolates H25883, H26023, and H26027, with the following genome sizes and coverages: 6,706,793 bp and 223× for H25883, 6,729,215 bp and 217× for H26023, and 7,079,586 bp and 228× for H26027.…”
