“…The other doublet indicates the presence of Mo (+VI) oxidation state of MoO 3 or MoO 4 2− , which arises due to the surface oxidation of MoS 2 sample in air. Whereas, sulfur 2p core level spectra show four peaks having binding energy of 162, 163.16, 163.9 and 165.07 eV ,,. Two peaks with binding energy of 162 and 163.16 eV could be assigned to the 2p 3/2 and 2p 1/2 lines of MoS 2 .…”

“…Survey spectra confirm the presence of carbon, oxygen, molybdenum and sulfur wherein, the molybdenum and sulfur ratio was found to be nearly 2 and 3.5 for annealed and as prepared samples, respectively (Figure S17, SI). High resolution Mo 3d core level spectra of annealed HPOM only sample exhibits five peaks, in which 226.45 eV peak corresponds to the S 2 s peak of MoS 2 (Figure ) ,,. Additionally, two sets of doublet were observed in which 229.11 (3d 5/2 ) and 232.24 eV (3d 3/2 ) peaks are for oxidation states of Mo (+IV) of MoS 2 .…”

“…In that case, these sites can be converted into Mo VI =O or Mo VI (=O) 2 defects by reaction with O 2 or just H 2 O. We also note that when the resulting MoS x ‐AE film becomes thicker, it might also act as a capacitor . As a result, the apparent number of electrons over the oxidation of a [Mo 3 S 13 ] 2− cluster becomes higher than two.…”

[13] As ar esult,t he apparent number of electrons over the oxidation of a[ Mo 3 S 13 ] 2À cluster becomes higher than two. This explainst he derivation of the slopev alue when the Au elec-trode is hold at 0.3 Vf or al ongp eriod or at 0.6 V, at which the deposition rate is accelerated.…”

“…In this way, the high specific capacitance is attributed to large amount of charge storage through both faradaic and non–faradaic processes at the electrode/electrolyte interface. Among various metal oxides, transition metal oxides and conducting polymeric materials mixed with GO have been rigorously studied in the past …”
