Amino‐acid Composition of Grain Protein From Wheat and Barley Treated With 2,4‐d*

Abstract: Wheat and barley treated with the butoxyethyl ester of 2,4-D at 2, 4 and 8 kg/ha (a.e.) at the jointing stage of growth were analysed for the amino-acid composition of the protein of the grain. A slight decrease in the threonine and arginine, and an increase in the proline content of wheat protein were observed.
