Abstract:Un Didelphis marsupialis macho capturado en Teruel, Huila, se inoculó intraperitonealmente con 1x10 6 promastigotes de Leishmania chagasi (MHOM/CO/84/CL044B). El animal desarrolló leishmaniosis visceral con abundantes amastigotes fagocitados en las células de Kupffer y en los macrófagos esplénicos; murió 5 semanas después de la inoculación.
