Amidation of Aldehydes with Amines under Mild Conditions Using Metal‐Organic Framework Derived NiO@Ni Mott‐Schottky Catalyst

Abstract: Here we report a facile method for the synthesis of nickel oxide-nickel (NiO@Ni) Mott-Schottky catalyst employing metalorganic framework (MOF) as the precursor. A direct amidation protocol of aldehydes with amines has been optimized under mild conditions using NiO@Ni Mott-Schottky catalyst and it shows far better catalytic activity than the NiOÀ Ni nanoparticles prepared from simple Ni 2 + salt under similar reaction conditions. The heterogeneous catalyst is robust, recyclable and efficient to provide comparab… Show more

“…[28] Herein, we are interested in the fabrication of a novel sustainable heterogeneous catalyst based on magnetic chitosan factionalized Cu-Schiff base nanocatalyst for amination of aldehydes with amines to corresponding amides. Only a few examples of heterogeneous catalysts such as silica supported Pd [29] and Cu, [30] MOFs immobilized Pd [31] and Ni [32] nanoparticles and MWCNT functionalized Cu 2 O or CuI [33] are found in the literature for amination of aldehydes. This research work describes the chitosan-coated Fe 3 O 4 functionalized with pyrrole-2-carboxaldehyde towards Cu-Schiff base nanostructured catalyst has investigated in oxidative amination of aldehydes using environmentally benign oxidant H 2 O 2 .…”

“…Because the imidazole bridge structure is very flexible, ZIF-8 bridged with the counterface material, not only to withstand greater deformations but also avoid direct contact between steel and EP, which was essential for drastically friction reduction. The C 1s spectra show that the peak components at binding energies 284.7, 286.3, and 288.4 eV belong to C–C, C–N, and CO, respectively, which may be derived from the epoxy resin carbon in the matrix composites during the friction process. , C 1s (284 eV), O 1s (531 eV), and F 1s (689 eV) were observed, which are characteristic peaks of the lubricant perfluoropolyether YR1800 . The Fe 1s spectrum shows peaks at 706.8, 710.6, and 724.3 eV that can be attributed to Fe( OH )O and iron oxide, which overlap with the 529.6 and 531.7 eV O 1s peaks .…”
