American mammals susceptibility to dengue according to geographical, environmental and phylogenetic distances

Abstract: Many human emergent and re-emergent diseases have a sylvatic cycle. Yet, little effort has been put into discovering and modeling the wild mammal reservoirs of dengue (DENV), particularly in the Americas. Here, we show a species-level susceptibility prediction to dengue of wild mammals in the Americas as a function of the three most important biodiversity dimensions (ecological, geographical, and phylogenetic spaces), using machine learning protocols. Model predictions showed that different species of bats wou… Show more

“…[ 15 ] General dance science should dig deep into the true meaning of ethnic folk dance, give full play to the advantages of folk dance, and cultivate the inheritance and development of students' professional dance skills [ 16 ]. Therefore, promoting the application and practice of ethnic folk dance in the higher teachers' dance curriculum plays a crucial role [ 17 ]. The article will also carry out more in-depth discussion and analysis of the characteristics of Chinese folk dance.…”

“…Then, this information is used to create spatial projections of those variables under climate change scenarios to predict potential changes of prevalence or infection rate in years to come. This approach has been used for studying vector-borne human diseases, such as dengue and malaria (Martens et al ., 1999; Patz and Reisen, 2001; Massad et al ., 2011; Ojogba et al ., 2012; Robles-Fernández et al ., 2021), and could provide insightful information when applied to the study of wildlife infectious diseases (Prieto-Torres et al ., 2020).…”
