Amenability of Eocene Crude to Thermal Conditioning and Chemical Treatment for

Abstract: Laboratory studies have been carried out to assess the comparative effectiveness of chemical treatment and thermal conditioning on the crude oil being produced from Eocene formations by Oil India Limited (OIL) in the upper Assam region of India. The studies have indicated that the present Eocene crude is amenable to both thermal conditioning and chemical treatment, and combination thereof.
