“…After analyzing the video record and considering the species traits, we suggest that this may be an occasional and opportunistic event, once the greater grison is a low-density species (Arita et al 1990), and is not commonly recorded by camera traps in the Amazon forest (Antunes et al 2022). This is the first record of a white hawk attempting kleptoparasitism, which may also indicate that this type of behavior is not common in the species.…”
