Always energy-optimal microscopic wireless systems

Abstract: Wireless sensor-and-control systems era starting to make inroads in medical health care. Monitoring of vital signs, advanced imaging, and innovative treatments and prosthetics are emerging. The challenge with all these systems is that they have to be "energy-frugal", that is that they have to get by with the energy they scavenge from the environment around them.
