Abstract: Background Alveolar capillary dysplasia with misalignment of pulmonary veins (ACD/MPV) is a lethal neonatal lung disorder characterized by the decrease of the alveolar units, abnormalities in the air–blood barrier of the lung, and impaired gas exchange.
