Alternatives to heparin anticoagulation for cardiopulmonary bypass and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation

Abstract: Cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) are both mechanical circulatory support technologies that augment the native heart and/or lung function.
