Abstract:We present an alternative method to determine leaf CO2 assimilation rate (An), eliminating the need for gas exchange measurements in proximal and remote sensing. This method combines the Farquhar–von Caemmerer–Berry photosynthesis model with mechanistic light reaction (MLR) theory and leaf energy balance (EB) analysis. The MLR theory estimates the actual electron transport rate (J) by leveraging chlorophyll fluorescence via pulse amplitude‐modulated fluorometry for proximal sensing or sun‐induced chlorophyll f… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
