Abstract:An alternative method for the synthesis of acetamidobenzimidazoles (3-6) has been developed, including the reacylation of methylbenzimidazol-2-ylcarbamate (carbendazim, MBC, 1) under the action of aliphatic and aromatic carboxylic acids.
