Altered PTEN expression; a diagnostic marker for differentiating normal, hyperplastic and neoplastic endometrium

Abstract: BackgroundDifferent molecular alterations have been described in endometrioid endometrial carcinoma (EECA). Among them the most frequently altered is loss of the PTEN protein, a tumor suppressor gene.
