Abstract: Immunotoxicity can manifest as an exaggerated immune response to a normally innocuous substance and lead to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions in the lung. Allergens are encountered environmentally or in the workplace and can be low‐ and high‐molecular‐weight substances.
