Allele frequencies of the 15 AmpFlSTR Identifiler loci in the population of Vojvodina Province, Serbia and Montenegro

Abstract: The 15 AmpF lSTR Identifiler loci (D8S1179, D21S11, D7S820, CSF1PO, D3S1358, TH01, D13S317, D16S539, D2S1338, D19S433, VWA, TPOX, D18S51, D5S818 and FGA) were analyzed in the sample of 100 unrelated, autochthonous healthy adult Serbians from Novi Sad (Vojvodina Province, Serbia and Montenegro). The agreement with HWE was confirmed for all loci with the exception of D7S820 (based on the chi2-test only). The combined power of discrimination (PD) and the combined power of exclusion (PE) for the 15 tested STR loci… Show more

“…There were no significant differences between the population from Wallachia and Croatia (11) or Serbia (12), which means that Wallachia region is genetically more similar to Croatia and Serbia than to Greece, Turkey, Italy, Hungary, Belarus, and Poland population according to 15 analyzed STR loci. Difference between the Walachian region and Bucharest area can be a consequence of the high population heterogeneity, which in generally characterizes the metropolitan areas.…”

“…The combined power of discrimination (PD) and the combined power of exclusion (PE) for the 15 studied loci were 0.999999999999999997 and 0.999999, respectively. Table 2 lists interpopulation comparisons between Bosnians and three other populations from the west Balkan peninsula -Croatians [8], Kosovo Albanians [8] and Serbians [9]. Locus by locus AMOVA did not show any statistically significant differences between populations from Bosnia and Croatia, whereas statistically significant differences were observed between populations from Bosnia and Kosovo with respect to the three loci TPOX, CSF1PO and D13S317 and between Bosnia and Serbia with respect to one locus, D13S317.…”
