All-Round Enhancement in Zn-Ion Storage Enabled by Solvent-Guided Lewis Acid–Base Self-Assembly of Heterodiatomic Carbon Nanotubes

Abstract: Designing zincophilic and stable carbon nanostructures is critical for Zn-ion storage with superior capacitive activity and durability. Here, we report solvent-guided Lewis acid–base self-assembly to customize heterodiatomic carbon nanotubes, triggered by the reaction between iron chloride and α,α′-dichloro-p-xylene. In this strategy, modulating the solvent–precursor interaction through the optimization of solvent formula stimulates differential thermodynamic solubilization, growth kinetics, and self-assembly … Show more

“…50 At P/P 0 = 0.45, the adsorption/desorption hysteresis loops appear, indicating the presence of multimolecular layer adsorption and implying that the material contains mesopores. 51 In addition, when P/P 0 > 0.95, it indicates that there are macropores in aerogel materials. 52 The pore size distribution calculated via Barrett's equation (BJH) demonstrates that HP-NiAs-3 possesses both micropores of 1.27 nm and mesopores of 2.95, 4.32, and 8.63 nm.…”

“…The performance diagram of the CRDC-1000 for 500 cycles at a constant current density of 1 A g −1 is shown in figure 5(c). It is crucial to recall that the capacity increased gradually throughout the cycle, which may be the result of the electrolyte gradually penetrating the entire electrode material and the full formation of the SEI layer throughout the entire charge-discharge cycle test [29]. The negative active material's structure often has a steady composition.…”

“…When P/P 0 was close to 1, the curve showed an obvious upward slope, and the adsorption curve and desorption curve were not completely consistent in the range of 0.4-0.8, revealing a standard hysteresis loop. 41,42 Combined with the pore-size © 2024 The Author(s).
