Abstract:Alkoxyalkylation and hydroxyalkylation methods utilizing oxo-compound derivatives such as aldehydes, acetals or acetylenes and various alcohols or water are widely used tools in preparative organic chemistry to synthesize bioactive compounds, biosensors, supramolecular compounds and petrochemicals.
