Alkaliisocyanacetate. Synthese und Struktur von [K(18‐Krone‐6)](O2CCH2NC)

Abstract: The alkali isocyanoacetates M ϩ [O 2 CCH 2 NC] Ϫ (M ϭ Li,-Na,K,Cs) (1a-d) are synthesized by reaction of ethyl isocyanoacetate with the respective alkali hydroxides in ethanol and characterized by IR, NMR ( 1 H, 13 C), and mass spectrometry (FAB). In alcoholic solution as well as in the gas phase ion pairs and higher aggregated species are observed. In contrast, [K(18-crown-6)][O 2 CCH 2 NC] (2) which is obtained from 1c and 18-crown-6, Einleitung Kaliumisocyanacetat, K ϩ [CNCH 2 CO 2 ] Ϫ , wurde erstmals von … Show more

“…Although it is well-known that Li, Na, and K salts form stable complexes with 12-crown-4, 15-crown-5, and 18-crown-6 ethers, respectively, ,,,, the ionic radius of Li + cation is slightly larger than the cavity size of 12-crown-4 ether. In fact, binary mixtures of 12-crown-4 ethers and certain Li salts form 2:1 sandwich complexes even when an equimolar mixture was prepared .…”

“…This lack of solubility was expected to be corrected at later stages by the use of their anionic forms CNCR 2 COOM (M + = Li + , Na +• ). 56,57 However, the instability of the CNR complexes in aqueous media discouraged such experiments.…”

“…), and thiocyanate (SCN À ), were selected as the parent salts to investigate the anionic (Lewis basicity) effect on the characteristics of the complexes. On the basis of the preferential coordination number and high affinity of 18-crown-6 ether with K + cations, [38][39][40][41] these K salts were complexed with pentaglyme (G5), in which six oxygen atoms are involved within a single molecule, hereafter abbreviated as [K(G5) n ]X based on the molar ratio of the K salt and G5.…”
