“…It was found that nanoparticles synthesized at near-room temperatures exhibited greater activity against microbes16. Several studies have employed the use of stirring during preparation of ZnO-NPs474849. However, the method of producing ZnO-NPs exploiting stirring effect as the prime parameter has not been reported till now.…”

“…Compared with these composites, our synthesized bare ZnO nanoparticles are having the enhanced photodegradation efficiency and advantage of operating under sunlight. Furthermore, Sun et al (2012) have reported synthesis of nut-like, hexagonal sphere-like, oblate-like and flower-like ZnO structures and studied the UV-assisted photodegradation of methylene blue dye. The results shows that, 100 mL, 10 mg/L of the aqueous MB dye solution was degraded after 180 min of UV light irradiation in presence of each of the studied photocatalyst (80 mg).…”

“…Such a method was successful in the synthesis of TiO 2 24 Transition of structures from an acorn-shape, a hexagonal bi-prism shape, and flower-like aggregates made from the assembly of hexagonal columnar crystals was observed by changing the ratio of Zn 2+ / OH ¹ , as it influenced the nucleation of ZnO. However, the synthesized particles were too large to be used in DSSCs but that could be improved in a microwave-assisted reaction.…”
