Aliiroseovarius pelagivivens gen. nov., sp. nov., isolated from seawater, and reclassification of three species of the genus Roseovarius as Aliiroseovarius crassostreae comb. nov., Aliiroseovarius halocynthiae comb. nov. and Aliiroseovarius sediminilitoris comb. nov.

Abstract: Aliiroseovarius pelagivivens gen. nov., sp. nov., isolated from seawater, and reclassification of three species of the genus Roseovarius as Aliiroseovarius crassostreae comb. nov., Aliiroseovarius halocynthiae comb. nov. and Aliiroseovarius sediminilitoris comb. nov. A variety of coastal seawaters of the South Sea of the Korean Peninsula have been proven to be good sources to isolate novel bacteria (Lee et al., 2011;Jung et al., 2012; Yoon et al., 2013a, b). During isolation of novel bacteria from seawater off… Show more

“…S2; Park et al (2015)]. The predominant isoprenoid quinone detected in strain DY6-4 T was ubiquinone-10 (Q-10), which is typical of the vast majority of the class Alphaproteobacteria (Park et al, 2015). The DNA G+C content of strain DY6-4 T was 66.6 mol%, higher than those of the four reference strains (59.0-62.1 %) (Sorokin, 1995;Pukall et al, 1999 (Fig.…”

“…(Biebl et al, 2005); Roseovarius nanhaiticus was isolated from a sandy sediment sample from the South China Sea (Wang et al, 2010); Roseovarius pacificus was isolated from deep-sea sediment of the Western Pacific Ocean (Wang et al, 2009); and Roseovarius lutimaris was isolated from a marine tidal flat (Choi et al, 2013). In addition, three species (Roseovarius crassostreae, Roseovarius halocynthiae and Roseovarius sediminilitoris) of the genus Roseovarius have recently been reclassified into the genus Aliiroseovarius (Park et al, 2015), and the species Roseovarius marinus has been reclassified as 'Pacificibacter marinus' (Park et al, 2014a). The aim of the present work was to determine the exact taxonomic position of strain R12B T by using a polyphasic approach.…”
