Abstract: The bibliography of alien plant taxa in Bosnia and Herzegovina is not abundant. There are no published complete lists or analysis of alien flora in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole. Therefore, information on the alien species present in Bosnia and Herzegovina is incomplete. Only sporadic and, in many cases, accidental records concerning adventive/neophyte plant taxa exist. In this study alien flora of the Hutovo Blato Natural Park was analysed. It numbers 49 taxa, which equals 7.67% of the complete flora of H… Show more

“…Literature information regarding alien flora of the city of Mostar or in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole is scarce. Since the 1950s a few works giving findings of alien flora from various areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina have been published (for references see Maslo, 2014a). There are a few works which list individual findings of alien plant taxa from the city of Mostar (Struschka, 1880;Murbeck, 1891;Pichler, 1898/9;Beck, 1903Beck, -1927Beck & Maly, 1950;Beck et al, 1967Beck et al, , 1974Beck et al, , 1983Maly, 1908Maly, , 1935Slavnić, 1960;Šilić, 1973;Šolić, 1974;Mišić, 1987;Šilić & Abadžić, 2000;Petrović & Tabaković, 2003;Šoljan et al, 2003;Šoljan & Muratović, 2004;Lasić et al, 2010;Jasprica et al, 2011;Petrović et al, 2011;Maslo, 2014b).…”

“…In the last few years, Prunus dulcis has established in different European countries. The preference for Mediterranean-climate areas is witnessed by its naturalization in Albania (Barina et al 2014), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Maslo 2014), Cyprus (Hadjikyriakou and Hadjisterkotis 2002), Greece (Arianoutsou et al 2010), Malta (Mifsud 2010), Portugal (de Almeida and Freitas 2006) and Spain (Blanca et al 1998). Interestingly, the almond has also established in much cooler regions at higher latitudes: Austria (Essl & Rabitsch 2002), Finland (Kurtto et al 2019), Slovakia (Medvecká et al 2012), Switzerland (Wittenberg 2005 and Aosta Valley in Italy (Alpine region), where the species has shown preference for the warmer valleys (Bovio 2014).…”
