“…In cases with more dramatic displacements of the posterior table and those with a CSF leak that does not spontaneously resolve within a few days, operative intervention is usually indicated for cranialization of the sinus. 4,7,9,37,38 Cranialization, as introduced by Donald and Bernstein, 39 involves removing the posterior wall of the frontal sinus, allowing the brain to migrate into the sinus space. 7 The present study indicated a predominant trend for nonoperative management, with 50 cases (55%) undergoing observation only for their frontal sinus fractures.…”
