Algorithm applied: attracting MSEs to business associations

Abstract: Purpose This paper aims to propose a structured model based on a data mining algorithm that can calculate, based on business association (BA) attributes, the probability of micro and small enterprises (MSEs) becoming a new member of a BA. Another goal is the probability of a BA attracting new members. Design/methodology/approach As a methodological procedure, the authors used the Naive Bayes data mining algorithm. The collected data were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively and then used to define … Show more

“…Thus, CC is used in smart grids to perform the tasks of managing large volumes of data and information (Ma et al, 2018). With Big Data it is possible to process these large volumes of data, discovering patterns in the data, and gaining relevant insights to perform energy management (de Moraes et al, 2019), assisting in effective and efficient decision making (Zhou et al, 2016).…”

“…These grouped sets of big data do not provide clear information with traditional analysis methods due to their complexity (Kang et al , 2016; Li et al , 2017). However, when computational processing techniques are applied to such databases, digital procedures allow for the discovery of patterns based on decision support models (De Moraes et al , 2020) and applicable information, generating high levels of flexibility for industrial processes (Lee et al , 2014; Li et al , 2017; Ivanov et al , 2019).…”
