Abstract:We apply a classical treatment to the study of acoustoelectric interaction in nondegenerate n-type GaAs samples immersed in a magnetic field. The threshold electric field, and the incubation time as a function of the magnetic field, are compared with the experimental results by introducing in D L White's coefficient of amplification the mobility and diffusion constant corresponding to a mixed mode scattering.
