Several studies suggest that the association of alcohol use to high risk sexual behavior may vary as a function of relationship characteristics (Cooper & Orcutt, 2000;Corbin & Fromme, 2002;Fortenberry, Orr, Katz, Brizendine, & Blythe, 1997;Seage et al, 1998;Testa & Collins, 1997).
