Abstract: Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) is a first-line prodrug for the treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) that is completely metabolized to monomethyl fumarate (MMF), the active metabolite, before reaching the systemic circulation.
