Alcock–Paczyński test with model-independent BAO data

Abstract: Cosmological tests based on the statistical analysis of galaxy distributions usually depend on source evolution. An exception is the Alcock-Paczyński (AP) test, which is based on the changing ratio of angular to spatial/redshift size of (presumed) spherically-symmetric source distributions with distance. Intrinsic redshift distortions due to gravitational effects may also have an influence, but they can now be overcome with the inclusion of a sharp feature, such as the Baryonic Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) peak.… Show more

“…The observed value for Y at three redshifts are Y (z = 0.38) = 1.079 ± 0.042, Y (z = 0.61) = 1.248 ± 0.044 [64] and Y (z = 2.34) = 1.706 ± 0.083 [65]. The upper panel of Fig.…”

“…This comparison has been performed using the fitted parameters of the models (see Table 1). According to the y(0.38) = 1.079 ± 0.042, y(z = 0.61) = 1.248 ± 0.044 and y(z = 2.34) = 1.706 ± 0.083 [86] the CDM is not favor by the BAO data while we choose the CDM as the model of comparison. The evolution of Alcock-Paczynski for CDM, HDE, THDE and ITHDE in terms of redshift is plotted in Figs.…”

“…The rest were excluded at a > 95% confidence level. Analyses with further data using Baryonic Acoustic Oscillations (BAO) [125] improve the test and give us a more accurate constraint: ΛCDM with standard values of parameters is excluded at 98% C.L., whereas static with tired light fits the data, but also an expanding Universe with zero-active mass or wCDM with ω dark energy = −0.60…”
