“…According to the analyzed publications, Pseudomonas and Bacillus species are the most frequently isolated in hydrocarbon degradation studies in the country. Probably, this result could be attributed to the much higher cultivability of both genera by direct isolation of contaminated samples with hydrocarbons (Gomez et al 2006 ; Quintana-Saavedra et al 2012 ; Álvares et al 2016 ; Doria-Argumedo 2018 ).
