“…In accordance with the authors, 13,28,29 the relationship between the pressure difference between the interior and exterior of the cabin and the infiltration or exfiltration air flow rate produced by the ventilation system and cabin clearances can be modeled using the following power function: where Q is the infiltration or exfiltration air flow rate (m 3 /s), m is the infiltration coefficient (m 3 /(s Pa n )), △ P is the pressure difference (Pa) and n is the flow exponent (-).…”

“…The results showed that the main sources of air infiltration included the juncture of the ceiling/floor and external walls, the juncture of the separation walls and external walls, the chimney and ventilating ducts, and the door and window peripheries. Hong and Kim 13 used fan pressurization tests and the tracer gas method to measure the airtightness and infiltration ventilation volume of various mechanical, electrical and architectural components in newly built apartment buildings in Korea. The results revealed that the ACH 50 value fell from 1.6∼2.7 h −1 in the original as-installed condition to 0.7∼1.0 h −1 when the components were properly sealed.…”

“…Point 2 can create artificial conditions which may affect the measurement of infiltration and are not conducive to actual field measurements. 31 Therefore, Point 1 is used to calculate the ACH to validate the result.…”

“…Thus, a reduction in building energy consumption can lead to a reduction in CO 2 emissions. According to previous studies, energy savings can be achieved by applying appropriate thermal insulation to building envelopes and the use of advanced mechanical systems [3][4][5][6][7]. As building occupants spend more time in an indoor environment, the importance of the selection of proper mechanical systems has become a main concern for building stakeholders regarding thermal comfort and energy conservation [8].…”
