Air@rGO€Fe3O4 microspheres with spongy shells: self-assembly and microwave absorption performance

Abstract: Novel Air@rGO€Fe3O4 microspheres with excellent microwave absorbing properties and corrosion resistance were synthesized by a W/O emulsion technique followed by a calcination process.

“…24,25 Wen et al 26 have contrastively studied the absorbing properties of reduced graphene oxide (r-GO) and graphite nanosheets (GN) and the results suggest that r-GOs are the thinnest and most lightweight materials with highly efficient microwave attenuation performances of the carbon world. In addition, plenty of graphene-based composites such as graphene/SiC nanowire foam composites, 27 air@rGO@Fe 3 O 4 microspheres, 28 CoS 2 /rGO nanohybrids, 29 RGO/CuS or RGO/ MoS 2 nanocomposites 30,31 etc. have also been investigated as effective microwave absorbers.…”

“…These core/shell or Yolk/shell multicomponent hierarchical microspheres with magnetic/dielectric absorption components, can generate tunable reflection loss by changing the type and relative content of core/shell component, thereby improving the impedance matching in terms of complex permittivity and permeability. Typically, based on our previous works, it confirms that hollow hybrid 3D microspheres have excellent MA performance 28 .…”

“…The imaginary part of the relative complex permittivity (3 00 ) accounts for the energy loss via dissipative mechanisms of the composites. [22][23][24][25][26][27][28] Fig. 4 shows the frequency dependencies of the 3 0 and 3 00 of the epoxy composites lled with N-GP and/or Ti 3 C 2 nanosheets as absorber.…”
