Background. The relationship between smartphone addiction (SPA) and loneliness is examined in several studies, however, the mediating effects of the variables related to narcissism and the family on the relationship between SPA and loneliness are not yet available in the literature. Objective. The present study investigates the role of SPA on loneliness and the moderating effects of narcissistic personality and family belonging on loneliness. Participants and Setting. Data required for research were obtained via an online survey from undergraduate students (n = 500) studying at a public university. Methods. In the study, the relationship between the variables was determined by path analysis. Results. The results of the path analysis show that there is a significant positive relationship between SPA and loneliness. According to the model, no significant relationship was found between narcissistic personality and family-belonging level. There is a negative and significant mediation effect between SPA and narcissistic personality traits. There is a positive and significant mediation effect between SPA and family belonging. The results of the research are discussed with regard to university students and future directions. Conclusions. According to these research results, SPA predicts loneliness. As the level of family belonging decreases, SPA increases. The relationship between university students and their families and environments is among the variables that should be considered when evaluating SPA.Smartphone usage rates have displayed a rapid increase around the world in the last decade. In the We Are Social Digital Report of 2020, it was revealed that the global number of mobile phone users has reached 5.19 billion; 70 percent of those are smartphone users and the daily average mobile phone usage time is 3 hours 40 minutes (We Are Social, 2020). The purpose of this study was to determine middle school students’ national belonging levels in terms of different variables. In this quantitative study, middle school students’ views on national belonging were determined by the “National Belonging Scale for Middle School Students”. The study was conducted with 1318 middle school students in Niğde province of Turkey during the Spring term of the 2019-2020 academic year. Research data were collected through “National Belonging Scale for Middle School Students” and were analysed with SPSS 24 software package. According to the study results, middle school students had a high positive view of their national belonging. Their gender did not make a statistical difference in terms of both reasons and results of their national belonging. On the other hand, students’ views on national belonging differed in terms of their grade level. Again, although there was no difference between the public and private schools in terms of reasons of their national belonging, there was a statistically significant difference between them in terms of the results of their national belonging in favor of the public school. Another difference was determined between Turkish and refugee students’ national belonging. Turkish students’ mean scores of reasons and results of their national belonging were statistically higher than the refugee students’ mean scores. Considering national belonging in terms of each variable, middle school students’ national belonging can be strengthened with some activities that can be done within the scope of the implicit program as well as the educational activities carried out within the curriculum at schools. Social Studies is the most important course into which works on this subject can be integrated.

Amaç: Araştırma, ebelerde mesleki aidiyetin profesyonel değer tutumuna etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Yöntem: Araştırma 15.08.2020 – 15.02.2021 tarihleri arasında, tanımlayıcı olarak yapıldı. Araştırmanın örneklemini 212 ebe oluşturdu. Verilerin toplanmasında kişisel tanıtım formu, Ebelik Aidiyet Ölçeği ve Ebelerin Profesyonel Değerleri Ölçeği kullanıldı. Bulgular: Ebelerin yaş ortalamasının 29.07±6.15 yıl, haftalık çalışma süresinin 44.38±8.75 saat olduğu ve %71.7’sinin lisans mezunu olduğu saptandı. Ebelerin mesleki aidiyeti ile profesyonel değer tutumları arasında yapılan korelasyon analizinde orta düzeyde pozitif yönde ilişki belirlenmiş olup yapılan regresyon analizinde mesleki aidiyetin ebelerin profesyonel değerleri % 41 oranında açıkladığı saptandı (r:0.646,: 0.646, p0.001). Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda ebelerde mesleki aidiyetin profesyonel değer tutumunu etkileyen önemli bir değişken olduğu ve ebelerde mesleki aidiyet arttıkça profesyonel değer tutumunun da arttığı görüldü. Ebelerde mesleki aidiyetin arttırılmasının profesyonel değer tutumuna da yansıyacağı ve hasta bakım kalitesini de olumlu yönde etkileyeceği düşünülmektedir.
