AICAR inhibits ceramide biosynthesis in skeletal muscle

Abstract: BackgroundThe worldwide prevalence of obesity has lead to increased efforts to find therapies to treat obesity-related pathologies. Ceramide is a well-established mediator of several health problems that arise from adipose tissue expansion.
