Agronomic properties of biochars from different manure wastes

Abstract: a b s t r a c tBiochar research has focused in the last years in the use of wood or grass derived materials for carbon sequestration. However, manure derived biochar can provide other benefits after soil addition, including nutrient supply. At present, there is an incomplete understanding of pyrolysis on manures. In order to understand the benefits obtained after addition of these types of materials to the soil, an experiment involving the use of different manures and pyrolysis temperatures was performed. Five… Show more

“…Better effects, not only in terms of the environment, but also in terms of technology, can be achieved after mixing sewage sludge with plant waste materials, such as cereal straw, sawdust or bark. The addition of these materials leads to dilution of the content of trace elements, and it also improves the conditions for conducting the thermal process by influencing the structure of the treated mass [19].…”

“…De hecho, el biochar a partir de residuos ganaderos se podría utilizar como fertilizante de liberación lenta . Por lo tanto, la preparación de biochar a partir de la pirólisis de residuos orgánicos es un interesante método de valorización de los mismos (Cely et al, 2015).…”
