“…First, RHR measurements were obtained by a nurse or nurse assistant using electronic or automated oscillometric sphygmomanometers rather than an echocardiogram. However, oscillometric devices have shown good agreement with cardiac monitors in RHR measurement for patients with cancer and reflect clinical practice [24]. Second, although we carefully evaluated medication status, which might influence RHR, we cannot completely rule out the possible confounding effects of individual lifestyle-related factors, including diet, physical activity, and smoking.…”

“…In a previous study, Palma et al [16] tested the reliability of the Omron HEM 742, an oscillometric electronic arm device, in a group of women. The authors found good agreement between HR measured with the oscillometric device and HR obtained with the Polar RS800 CX, a device whose reliability for measuring HR had been questioned by several authors [17,18].…”

“…The blood pressure and resting heart rate were measured using an Omron HEM 742 (Omron Healthcare Co, Kyoto, Japan) electronic and digital arm device 16 . These parameters were obtained at rest in each individual in a seated position.…”
