Abstract:SummarySkeletal muscle regeneration depends on the function of fibro/adipogenic progenitors (FAPs). Here we show that aging impairs myogenic stem cells by disrupting the integration of extracellular matrix and immunomodulatory functions within the stem cell niche, thereby promoting fibro/fatty degeneration.
