Agglutinella, a new miliolid genus (Foraminiferida)

Abstract: Agglutinella, n. gen., is suggested to include the Quinqueloculininae species which have a triloculine arrangement of chambers, agglutinated external wall, porcelaneous imperforate inner wall, and a single ap erture with a simple or bifid tooth and porcelaneous imperforate lip. The following three new species are assigned to the new genus: Agglutinella compressa, A. robusta and A. sori/ormis.These species have been recorded from the Recent deposits of the littoral zone of the Red Sea.
