“…A vial of the lyophilized preparation contained 0.5 mg bacterial luciferase (EC Four different types of AuNPs (AuNP1, AuNP2, AuNP3 and AuNP4) were prepared using the method described previously (Abhijith et al, 2014;Ranjan et al, 2018)…”

“…AuNPs aggregation can be visually observed. It takes less than a minute to observe color change from red to blue or purple in case the agglomeration of AuNPs occurs (Ranjan et al, 2018). The stability of AuNPs depends upon the capping agent.…”

“…These results were obtained as part of the optimization process to identify the lowest concentration of NaCl required to induce agglomeration in both the aptamer-functionalized (ssDNA-PEI-Au-PS) and nonfunctionalized labels (PEI-Au-PS). The layered particles showed a two-fold improvement in ionic strength stability when compared with traditional citrate-reduced AuNPs. , For all subsequent experiments, the label particles were stabilized in a solution of NaCl (75 mM) before immobilization on the testing zones of the microfluidic device.…”

“…The maintenance of peak positions of AuNPs during incubations indicated extra stability of S‐AuNPs as stated elsewhere (Leonard, Ahmmad, Okamura, & Kurawaki, ). In the study of Ranjan et al, aggregation tendency of AuNPs synthesized using either trisodium citrate or silver nitrate was investigated in aqueous sodium chloride solutions of varying concentrations after capping AuNPs with lipid mixtures (Ranjan, Kirillova, Esimbekova, Zharkov, & Kratasyuk, ). Their findings were akin to ours in such a way that capped AuNPs could withstand the aggregation at all salt levels.…”
