Abstract:Entre as malformações congênitas (MFC) do trato urinário encontra-se a agenesia renal (AR), nome atribuído a ausência congênita de tecido parenquimatoso renal. A AR unilateral ocorre em um a cada mil nascidos correspondendo a um achado que pode cursar desde a forma assintomática e sem muitas repercussões clínicas, quando acontece isoladamente, até casos sintomáticos chegando à morte.
