Abstract:The aim of this article is to analyze the dubbing strategies of lexical and syntagmatic units that carry socially recognizable cultural meanings -or culturemes-in the Latin Spanish versions of The Simpsons. We argue that these strategies are built up collectively by dubbing teams, in a particularly productive way during seasons 2 to 15.
