Age-related Changes in the Adrenal Cortex: Insights and Implications

Abstract: Aging is characterized by a gradual decline in physiological function. This process affects all organs including the adrenal cortex, which normally functions to produce essential steroid hormones including mineralocorticoids, glucocorticoids, and androgens.
