Affleck-Dine baryogenesis just after inflation

Abstract: We propose a new scenario of Affleck-Dine baryogenesis where a flat direction in the MSSM generates B − L asymmetry just after the end of inflation. The resulting amount of baryon asymmetry is independent of low-energy supersymmetric models but is dependent on inflation models. We consider the hybrid and chaotic inflation models and find that reheating temperature is required to be higher than that in the conventional scenario of Affleck-Dine baryogenesis. In particular, nonthermal gravitino-overproduction pro… Show more

“…Cosmological theories that aim at resolving this fundamental issue falls under the domain of Baryogenesis. Theories such as GUT baryogenesis, Thermal Baryogenesis, Affleck-Dine Baryogenesis, Electroweak Baryogenesis, Black hole evaporation Baryogenesis and Spontaneous Baryogenesis propose interactions which goes beyond the standard model to explain this profound dominance of matter in the universe [3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]. These mechanisms were further developed in [12][13][14][15] Gravitational Baryogenesis is one such theory proposed in [16] and further developed and extended to many modified gravity theories [17][18][19][20][21][22].…”

“…Thus, the production of equal amounts of matter and antimatter must lead to a zero baryon number in the universe. Interactions beyond the standard models have been studied to decode the matter and antimatter engima in [24][25][26][27]. In 1981, Dolgov investigated thermal baryogenesis in black hole evaporation [28].…”

“…Many theories have emerged to decode this enigma by considering interactions beyond the standard model in the primordial universe [3]. Some of these theories are Affleck-Dine Baryogenesis [4][5][6], GUT Baryogenesis [7], Spontaneous Baryogenesis [8][9][10], Electroweak Baryogenesis [11,12], Thermal Baryogenesis and Black hole evaporation Baryogenesis [13]. In 1967, A. Sakharov published three main conditions required to generate baryon asymmetry [14].…”
