Affinity Membranes and Monoliths for Protein Purification

Abstract: Affinity capture represents an important step in downstream processing of proteins and it is conventionally performed through a chromatographic process. The performance of this step highly depends on the type of matrix employed. In particular, resin beads and convective materials, such as membranes and monoliths, are the commonly available supports. The present work deals with non-competitive binding of bovine serum albumin (BSA) on different chromatographic media functionalized with Cibacron Blue F3GA (CB). T… Show more

“…Мембранные хроматографические системы обычно имеют размеры пор в диапазоне микрофильтрации (0,02-10 мкм), поскольку они не разделяются на основе молекулярного размера и могут обеспечивать высокие скорости потока, низкие перепады давления, легкую упаковку колонки, а также низкий уровень засорения, что делает их идеальными для разделения белков в производственных условиях [94,95].…”

“…Several kinds of research have been reported in terms of application of inorganic polymers, such as separation and detection of cation levels in drinking water , protein (Zhao et al, 2012), tryptic digests of bovine serum albumin (BSA) (Zhang et al, 2011), levodopa, carbidopa, benserazide, dopamine, and 3-O-methyldopa in plasma samples (Grecco et al, 2020), polar compounds (Yang et al, 2013) and other macromolecular compounds (Iwasaki et al, 2012). However, time-consuming manufacturing and a limited variety of polymer-forming materials were obtained as disadvantages of inorganic polymer (Zhong et al, 2010, Lalli et al, 2020.…”
