Aerosol Optical Depth (Aod) Over Four Indonesian Cities From the Aeronet Measurement: An Overview

Abstract: A large amount of aerosol, commonly known as Particulate Matter (PM), is emitted to the atmosphere from land-use conversion, urbanization, and the use of fossil fuels from a variety of sectors. “…The mean values of observed AOD in the plateau area, southern China, and 308 southeastern Asia is 0.85, 1.04, and 0.91, respectively. The highest values of total AOD 309 are at Jambi, which may be the result of large number of hotspots in dry season 310(Kusumaningtyas et al, 2019). Mean values of AE at the plateau area, southern China, 311 and southeastern Asia is 1.40, 1.31, 1.51, respectively, suggest that the sites above are 312 all dominated by fine-mode aerosol.…”
