Aerosol-assisted CVD of cadmium diselenoimidodiphosphinate and formation of a new iPr2N2P3+ ion supported by combined DFT and mass spectrometric studies
Abstract:Aerosol-assisted chemical vapour deposition (AACVD) of Cd[(SeP i Pr2)2N]2 is shown to deposit cadmium selenide and/or cadmium phosphide on glass substrates, dependent upon the growth conditions. The phase, structure, morphology and composition of the films were characterised by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The XRD indicated an hexagonal phase for cadmium selenide, whilst cadmium phosphide was monoclinic. Pyr… Show more

Other hybrid PNP complexes produced heterostructured films such as nickel selenide and/or nickel phosphide films, Ag 2 Se and Ni 0.51 Te.…”

“…30 In contrast, AACVD of the same precursor produces cadmium selenide films contaminated with phosphorus. 31 Similarly, molecular precursors with the aromatic or bulky alkyl group result in carbon contamination of the metal chalcogenide films. For the deposition of films by vapour deposition routes, volatility of the precursor or good solubility in a suitable organic solvent is also required.…”
