Advising the Freshman Teacher Education Major

Abstract: The main intent of this article is to illustrate that freshmen and freshman‐advisors in a College of Education can profit from the stated attitudes of graduating seniors toward their advisement as freshmen. “Critical Concerns” related to the self, the profession and the university are identified. Information pertinent to such student concerns is presented within a framework of discussion suitable for conferences between the freshman and his advisor.
