Advantages and disadvantages of interdisciplinary consultation in the prescription of assistive technologies for mobility limitations

Abstract: Prescribers and technicians in the field of assistive technologies for walking mobility limitations appreciate an interdisciplinary consultation. Advantages are found in all CanMEDS areas, whereas disadvantages only concern coordination. It should be encouraged to realize this kind of consultation in all situations where such technologies are prescribed.
