“…To date, there have been two comparative studies showing that those changes did not significantly alter the efficacy of the AdVanceXP sling compared with the conventional AdVance sling [4,5]. The longest follow-up after AdVanceXP implantation is 2 years and this has recently been reported in a prospective multicentre setting [6]. In the present study, we provide results >30 months after AdVanceXP implantation in a single-centre study and therefore give new insights into long-term durability and safety.…”

“…In a recent prospective multicentre study, including data from 94 consecutive patients and a maximum follow-up of 2 years, a cure rate (0 pads and 0-5 g urine loss per day) of 73.1% could be observed. The cure-and-improved rate was 92.7% [6].…”

“…The cure rates for the AdVance ® sling are reported to be between 54.1 and 92.3% [4,13,[15][16][17], although definitions of cure differ in these publications. In this study, no patient was cured and only 61.9% reported an improvement of incontinence, which is in line with the results of the study by Sacco et al [14].…”

“…According to the ICIQ-SF, 11 (57%) reported a severe or very severe incontinence postoperatively, 6 (32%) reported moderate and only 2 (11%) minor urinary incontinence. The outcome parameters with respect to efficacy are presented in Table 2 in comparison to the results of the AdVance ® (AMS Men's Health/Boston Scientific, USA) male sling [13]. The mean pain scores were 0.2 ± 0.5 for the perineum, 0.15 ± 0.5 for the genitals, 0.15 ± 0.5 for the symphysis, and 0.3 ± 07 for the inguinal groin.…”
